I am looking for skilled Drywallers, painters, and framers in the Taylor/Romulus area. This position utilizes building and construction skills to create modular housing units and may perform various laborer tasks supporting quality inspection, framing, sorting, installation, drywall, painting, windows, cabinetry, materials handling, and installing or repairs fixtures throughout the facility and in production; and, may have the opportunity learn more advanced processes over time.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:
Collaborates with employees concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.
Estimates equipment, tools, and material requirements for each job.
Builds, dismantles, and repairs structures, walls, roofs, glass, and siding as assigned.
Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
Prepares and dismantles scaffolding as needed.
Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
Joins materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive.
Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as rulers, levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
Erects and dismantles scaffolding.
Installs windows, doors, cabinets, and fixtures.
Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
May perform painting as needed.
Measures, marks, and arranges materials to establish layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
Always adhere to safety protocols and follow policies and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
