Position Purpose:

As the Senior Accountant, you will play a critical part in managing our business today and planning our business for tomorrow. You will use your expertise in accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, GAAP, and SOX to contribute to the integrity of our accounting processes. A successful candidate will be able to ensure that transactions are properly documented and that reporting requirements are met; allowing for the measurement of our impact and the enabling of future decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing daily support to various analysis and financial reporting needs.

  • Running reports and pulling financial data using SAP and other Programs.

  • Preparing various bank reconciliations, monthly account analysis and weekly/monthly reports

  • Reviewing financial results and variance analysis to goal, last year, year-end, and prior quarter.

  • Ensuring all account analysis and reconciliation procedures comply with GAAP.

  • Assisting with the recording and posting of payments.

  • Creating month-end journal entries and reviewing monthly balance sheet for all assigned areas.

  • Preparing bi-weekly payroll and other benefits related entries.

  • Preparing schedules and reports in support of annual and interim audit.

  • Assessing financial and accounting concerns related to new business and strategies.

  • Selecting, compiling, and testing data for quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit procedures.

  • Creating Ad Hoc projects and special analysis as needed.

  • Collaborating with corporate team to ensure adherence to all required reporting and deadlines.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong attention to details, organizational skills, and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of three years of relevant accounting/finance experience.

Must be knowledgeable on GAAP and FASB reporting guidelines.
