1 Job Locations Remote - U.S. Category Accounting and Finance Overview The Chief of Staff 5 serves as strategic support to the Chief Financial Officer. This position provides advisory support through strategy, planning, prioritization, and coordination of executive action items. The Chief of Staff 5 provides effective management in areas of research, administration, communications, change management, and project completion. What you will be doing Supports CFO and Finance and Accounting teams to facilitate effective decision-making; assist the leadership to plan the strategic vision. Manages strategic projects on behalf of CFO, including the drafting, reviewing, and execution of communications on behalf of leadership team; Assesses inquires directed to the executive, determine the proper course of action and delegate to the appropriate individual to manage. Tracks high priority initiatives for the executive and identifies any obstacles; ensure projects or escalated issues are addressed properly. Connects teams that are working on similar initiatives, pulling together and managing project teams that require input from multiple areas within the company. Serves as organizational change agent, develop effective internal and external relationships; work closely with appropriate stakeholders and business leaders to ensure success. Partners with CFO to support M&A activities within the Finance and Accounting functions. Participate in regular meetings with Human Resources to sync on business initiatives to ensure alignment. Establish and assure leadership adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge. Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends. Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; provided feedback to leadership on abilities of team. Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy What will make you successful Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in related field Minimum 5 years experience in prior management experience Demonstrated fiscal responsibility/accountability in managing budgets Microsoft Windows and Office proficient Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with executive presence Excellent organizational multi-tasking and time management skills Excellent collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas Excellent Microsoft Excel skills Excellent leadership sound judgement and business acumen skills Excellent facilitation and project management skill Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department Excellent data gathering interviewing and analytical/problem solving skills Excellent critical thinking problem solving and analytical skills Excellent customer service orientation Excellent ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact Excellent ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensus Able to thrive in a fast paced deadline driven environment Ability to provide guidance and support to devel
