ManpowerGroup Quality Food Safety Manager in Westfield, New York

Our client, a leading juice manufacturer is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Manager to join their team. As a Food Safety & Quality Manager, you will be part of the quality team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, organizational skills and analytical thinking skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Food Safety & Quality Manager

Location: Remote with Travel

Pay Range: $89 per hour

What’s the Job?

  • Lead the project of upgrading our Food Safety & Quality systems in support of the broader ERP implementation

  • Identify and implement Food Safety & Quality solutions to achieve enterprise-level approach across all needed systems

  • Collect and represent critical requirements for these systems assuring they meet operational and FSQ needs, including the support of external audit compliance (SQF / customer / regulatory)

  • Lead customization, implementation, and training of these solutions, meeting timelines and budget

  • Troubleshoot any issues and assure sustainable use of systems with demonstrated benefits quantified

What’s Needed?

  • S. required in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology or related science.

  • 5-8 years combined experience in Corporate Food Safety or Quality Assurance, Plant Quality Assurance, and Plant Operations

  • Knowledge of HACCP, PCQI, GFSI certification, FSMA and Food Defense in branded food products industry

  • Demonstrated hands on capabilities applying microbiological, thermal processing, sanitation methodology, HACCP and FSMA Preventative Control program management, and pest control expertise

  • Ability to travel 10 - 15%
