Facilities and Logistics Coordinator - $27/hr

We are in search of a Facilities and Logistics Coordinator to support facilities and logistics functions to ensure all company needs are met with respect to plant, o?ce, manufacturing ?oor, equipment and services, ensuring a safe and e?ective environment for all Lake Shore employees. This role has a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to the repair and maintenance of facility equipment, parking lot and grounds, support internal and external receipts and shipments, perform and/or schedule maintenance and repair services for the company's building complex including mechanical equipment, elevator, electrical needs, plumbing ?xtures, and interior and exterior building structures and assist with janitorial services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Complete assigned tasks and projects in an e?cient and timely manner both independently and collaboratively as part of the facilities and logistics teams B. Interface with all department managers, supervisors and engineers for project set-up C. Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs and setup as needed, logging all activities in the ERP system D. Perform oversight of sub-contractors and service providers as necessary E. Maintain adequate inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies for building and grounds repairs, maintenance and cleaning F. Perform or assist in area re-design and set-up of new equipment as needed G. Participate in evaluation and planning for facilities needs and scheduling of needed maintenance and repairs H. Support safety leadership in all facets of safety I. Conduct inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies J. Assist in monitoring and/or cycle counting ?oor stock or Kan-Ban parts for manufacturing K. Perform incoming receiving as either the primary or backup. Unpack, examine, count, and put away incoming shipments L. Compare and identify discrepancies, counts, weights, or measures of incoming shipments to verify information against packing list or BOL (bill of lading) M. Perform and coordinate all transfer orders between multiple facilities N. Manage inventory requests for the assigned location and/or facility O. Ful?ll job traveler shortages with purchased parts and/or sub-assemblies as material becomes available.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional specialized training or trade school education in fields such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical or similar preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in facilities and/or building trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.
  • 2+ years experience in material flow, control and distribution including shipping and/or receiving
  • Experience working with blueprints and drawings preferred
  • Forklift Operator's License (must be obtained within 4 months of starting position)
  • Valid Driver's License and Insurable Driving Record
  • Required to lift up to 50 lbs. manually or above with appropriate equipment on a repetitive basis
