Be you ... be here.* Job Summary The Data Lifecycle Management Advisor, is an Enterprise role that is the expert in building new capabilities for the Bread Financial Data Management team. This role will understand the building blocks of Information Architecture and implement and maintain data management lifecycle tools, practices and policies. Additionally, this role will translate business requirements to develop the blueprint for information architecture: entity diagrams, conceptual data models, logical data models, mapping/lineage, and data mapping. Though this role is focused on business work products, technical data experience is required for critical interactions with the Engineering teams. This role will lead across key areas of data management, including but not limited to, records retention (e.g. storage, archival, purging solutions), data protection (data discovery and classification) and master data management (e.g. customer). Essential Job Functions
- Drive the implementation of data management solutions including Records Management, Data Protection (discovery and classification) and Master Data Management capabilities across the enterprise. Focus on AI technologies that would change our data management strategies to manage and protect data. This role is a SME in tool selections, best practices and key to the success for implementations. - (30%)
- Establish an Information Architecture framework and prioritized data assets across the Enterprise. Establish systems of record for critical data elements, build conceptual data models and data flows, and ensure that lineage of data is correctly built and verified. Work with Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Science and Reporting, Engineering and business teams. - (30%)
- Work with many stakeholders across data owners, stewards, analytic and technical teams, to drive value-driven business solutions through excellent communication and facilitation. Investigate/research and problem-solve as needed. Exude knowledge, leadership and influence in multiple data lifecycle management capabilities. - (20%)
- Engage with technology to define data storage strategies, roadmap, and governance. Establish business requirements for archival capabilities, legal and compliance considerations, data retention, and defensible destruction. Ensure storage considerations are included in policies and standards, and evidenced in SDLC tollgates during technology platform enhancements and new development. - (10%)
- Innovate by evaluating new organization-wide data tools and methods for data management, data storage, data protection (data to be encrypted, tokenized, anonymized or pseudonymized at rest, in transit and in storage) in cloud or on-prem/off-prem. - (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 12+ years experience working with Data Lifecycle Management tools and best practices, data modeling, Master Data Governance and data architecture.
- 8+ years in Financial Services industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
- Cloud-based Certification in any of the following: Azure, Snowflake, AWS
- 15+ years experience working in Data Engineering and/or Data Lifecycle Management.
- Third party vendor experience (i.e. Fiserv).
