A Test Engineer is needed for a manufacturer of optics products in the Westborough, MA area. The Test Engineer is responsible for setting up and executing test plans for medical devices, collaborating with development engineers, documenting results, and ensuring the quality and performance of both software and hardware through rigorous testing and analysis.

responsibilities:

• Technical position requiring software, hardware, and Quality Assurance skills.

• Set up test client and server systems.

• Write test protocols and collaborate with development engineers to execute tests.

• Document and provide feedback on test results.

• Develop technical expertise in User Interface, computer hardware platforms, networking, performance analysis, and video.

• Responsible for SQA design, development, execution of functional/system, and acceptance tests across live video management products.

Skills:

• strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Documentation skills.

• Basic understanding of video standards (e.g., MPEG2, H.264).

• Knowledge of medical device product development and testing is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (or equivalent) preferred, but not required.

• Minimum of 1-3 years experience in test plan creation and execution using problem tracking software.
