Job Summary: The Manual / CNC Operator is expected to be able to read a blueprint, understand tooling, fixturing, speed, and feed requirements. Will be expected to be able to run a variety of Manual / CNC machines including lathes and mills. Will be expected to perform his job with minimal oversight required and to produce parts within tolerances specified on drawings within the time allotted for the job. We are willing to train someone with the right skills, mindset and abilities to learn on an apprenticeship path.

Pay Rate: $20-$27, depending on experience *Location: *West Valley

Shift: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday-Friday Full-Time. Can be flexible with shift once trained. Overtime possible

Responsibilities: Applicants could be required to do any of the following:

• Performs all Machine Operator functions
• Setup and supervise machine operators
• Work with customer and make recommendations
• Performs routine dimensional and visual inspection of product per procedure, specification or print using basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, scale, and indicators)
• Maintains safety practices related to machining; (wear protective clothing, eye glasses, as required
• Participates in set up reduction/process improvement teams to increase process efficiencies.
• Strong ethics and ability to keep information confidential

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of related experience
• Mathematics skills is a plus
• Must be able to read, interpret and analyze prints and drawings
• Ability to read and write and communicate well
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
