Location: Bluffdale, Utah (100% On-Site)

Duration: Long-term

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Support Engineer to provide enterprise-level support for HPE systems. This on-site role in Bluffdale, UT, requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong customer relationship skills. The position involves maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring efficient hardware support and proactive issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide break-fix hardware support for enterprise systems, primarily consisting of HPE products such as ProLiant ML, DL, BL series; Apollo 2000, 4200, 6500; Cray XC, EX, E1000 & SGI.

  • Handle hardware installation, configuration, proactive maintenance, and repair tasks, coordinating with ASM on technical deliverables.

  • Analyze and resolve technical incidents independently, escalating more complex issues to higher-level support when necessary.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and effectively communicating with HPE to address concerns.

  • Monitor and analyze data, proactively identifying potential escalations and recommending solutions to prevent future problems.

  • Apply HPE solutions to moderately complex customer issues, balancing internal and external requirements.

  • Identify opportunities for additional services that align with customer needs and contribute to future revenue growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred or Associate degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to work full-time on-site, Monday through Friday, at the customer site in Bluffdale, UT.

  • In-depth knowledge of HPE products and services, third-party products, and market trends.

  • Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences, including senior management.

  • Exemplary consulting abilities to serve as a trusted advisor and guide customers toward effective solutions.

  • Proven problem-solving skills (proactive, reactive, and creative).

  • Ability to suggest operational efficiencies and improvements.

  • HPE reserves the right to hire the candidate after 90 days; candidates must be open to permanent employment.
