Wages and Benefits $21.36 - $24.03 per hour; generous paid time off, plus 9 paid holidays and 3 floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; health savings account (HSA). There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. DARTS sponsors a retirement plan with a 3% employer match and immediate vesting. Schedule This position works during normal business hours and will travel between the housing buildings, which are accessible, and the DARTS office. A Typical Day in the Life A typical day as a Healthy Aging Specialist at DARTS provides an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older adults and their caregivers, and will include the following: Building rapport with clients to create a trusting and supportive relationship. Reducing isolation by connecting older adults with community resources and activities. Conducting thorough needs assessments to identify and address client requirements. Assisting clients with paperwork to simplify the process of obtaining services. Advocating for timely, adequate, and cost-effective provision of services to clients. Facilitating groups as needed. Who You Are You have a bachelor s degree in social work or equivalent experience. You bring previous experience working with older adults. You have prior experience in senior living communities (preferred). You are bilingual in Spanish (preferred). You possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively. You excel at building rapport with older adults, including those facing mental health issues and other life challenges. You work independently and can adapt your methods as needed. You can write clear and informative case notes. You are proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. You have your own reliable transportation to travel among various offices. You maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality of client information. You bring strong problem-solving and customer service skills. You hold a valid driver s license and the ability to meet DARTS s driving record requirements, or access to reliable transportation. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
