Join Our Team as a Full-Time Exotics Veterinary Technician!

Schedule:
Four 9-hour shifts per week
Compensation: Based on skills assessment leveling
Non-Credentialed Technician: $18 – $22
Credentialed Technician: $23 - $28 – Even higher for VTS!
What You’ll Do:
As an Exotics Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and exemplary care of our exotic patients. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with patient exams, diagnostic procedures, anesthesia, and recovery
Managing client communications, including follow-ups, take-home instructions, and post-op care
Supporting exotics procedures and maintaining detailed, accurate records
Taking ownership of inventory management, ensuring supplies are stocked and ready
Learning and mastering advanced skills like central line placement, arterial blood gas sampling, and chemotherapy protocols
Collaborating with a compassionate, skilled team to provide exceptional care

About You:
Experience: 2+ years in a similar role, including small animal anesthesia (required)
Education: Veterinary Technology degree or equivalent; CVT preferred
You possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills aimed at establishing long lasting, positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
You are able to work well independently and in a team environment, leading by example and holding oneself accountable for quality medicine and customer service.
You exhibit flexibility, dependability, responsibility, and possesses excellent attention to detail and time management skills
You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people who share that same value

We are a 24- hour, VECCS Level 2 Certified, state-of-the-art Emergency + Specialty veterinary hospital.
Like human medical specialists, VESH supports primary care veterinarians with the evaluation and treatment of pets affected by trauma, chronic issues, serious illness, or unusual disorders requiring advanced training along with providing critical & emergency pet care.
We offer a variety of specialty services including Advanced Imaging (CT), Internal Medicine, Surgery, and of course Emergency and Critical Care.
