Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION: Duties and responsibilities will be consistent with current class standard.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis OA2/OA2 (Keyboarding) will be a generalist position with a wide range of potential duties. At times, the duties will be fluid based on the needs of the department. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Competitive Minimum Qualifications:1. Candidates must have permanent competitive status as an Office Assistant 2 or Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding) and be eligible for a lateral transfer.OR2. Eligible to transfer via section 70.1 of Civil Service Law by having at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades. Non-Competitive Minimum Qualifications: Office Assistant 2: One year of clerical experience. Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding):One year of clerical experience where most work time is spent performing keyboarding, data entry, chart compilation or arrangement, or various tasks involving typing into computerized systems. The selected candidate must pass a keyboarding test that demonstrates the ability to enter text at a rate of at least 30 words per minute with at least 96% accuracy.The current Civil Service List for the Office Assistant 2 and Office Assistant 2 (Keyboard) at this location has been canvassed.

HELPS Program titles may be filled via a non-competitive appointment.
