Summary, Focus and Purpose

West Point Technical Operations – Integrated Product Team (IPT) is seeking highly motivated individuals to support a Technical Team for a multi-product vaccine manufacturing facility. This role will focus on supporting Bio Bacterial Manufacturing (BBM) operations while partnering with Operations and Quality to meet the targeted manufacturing and compliance initiatives for the IPT.

Key Functions

• Investigation of quality notifications that occur in Bio Bacterial Manufacturing (BBM).

• Conducting root cause analysis and written impact assessments/investigations for production events

• Partner across IPT functional areas to ensure robust processing, continuous improvement and cross-functional team building.

• Leading annual validation activities including cleaning and sterilization validations

• Supporting projects including continuous process improvements, Corrective/Preventative Actions (CAPAs), and value capture projects that seek to improve yield, reduce cost, or lower our processing cycle times

• Leading team and IPT safety, environmental, and compliance objectives

Education

• BS in Biological Sciences/Chemical Engineering/Biological Engineering/Chemistry with 2+ years relevant technical experience

Required Experience and Skills

• Excellent academic record

• Principled and strong verbal and written communications, team building, personal character, and ethics

• Familiarity with Vaccine Manufacturing Operations

• Familiarity with cGMPs, CFR, and other appropriate regulations in relation to vaccine manufacturing

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry educational background

• Working knowledge of cGMPs

• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to problem solving, with a bias towards going to see problems for oneself in the field

• Strong technical writing skills

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
