FIREFIGHTER / PARAMEDIC (accepting applications for full-time and part-time positions)
* *SALARY: Dependent upon Qualifications (DOQ) -- Competitive Wages
JOB SUMMARY:
* *Under the supervision of Station Captains, Battalion Chiefs, Deputy Chief, and Fire Chief, the Firefighter AEMT and Firefighter Paramedic will:
- Perform Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS/ALS) activities.
- Execute various firefighting duties to protect life, property, and the public.
- Drive and operate all fire department apparatus as required.
- Engage in fire suppression, fire prevention, rescue training, and station maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent; AND
- Utah State Certified Paramedic
- Utah State Certified FF I and FF II AND HAZ-MAT OPS
- Sufficient background to demonstrate the ability or aptitude to perform the above and other related duties
- Valid Utah Driver's License with no restrictions
LATERAL HIRES:
- Lateral candidates with 5 years of full-time firefighting service will be considered.
- Part-time firefighting experience will be counted at a rate of two part-time years for every one year of full-time service.
