Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant in West Palm Beach, Florida. As a Legal Assistant, you will have the chance to support a team of attorneys by managing and executing a variety of tasks related to legal proceedings. This role will be based in our office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research as required for legal proceedings

• Draft and manage a high volume of pleadings on a daily basis

• Maintain and manage a comprehensive calendar of events using Outlook

• Draft complaints and other legal documents as needed

• Manage and schedule depositions via telephone

• Execute all e-filing tasks accurately and efficiently

• Perform addition and subtraction tasks related to days of the week and months

• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Legal Assistant role or a related position.

• Proficiency in managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.

• Strong ability to maintain and enhance client relations.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on understanding and navigating legal procedures.

• Knowledge and experience in litigation processes and procedures.

• Ability to draft legal documents such as contracts, notices, and affidavits.

• Experience in drafting pleadings, including complaints, answers, and counterclaims.

• Familiarity with e-filing systems and procedures.

• Experience in scheduling depositions, including coordinating with all involved parties.

Knowledge of Filevine is a PLUS.
