Amentum Financial Analyst III in West Palm Beach, Florida
Amentum is seeking a Finance Analyst III in West Palm Beach, Florida to work both independently and as part of our Team to accomplish a range of functions in support of the Atlantic Undersea Test & Evaluation Center (AUTEC) program. The Finance Analyst will calculate, monitor, and audit direct costs focusing on budgets and Estimate at Complete (EAC) – specifically tied to management at the work order level. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; Note this requires U.S. Citizenship.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform financial analysis on multiple work orders (Technical Instructions or TIs).
Manage funding requirements on multiple work orders/TIs.
Assist with charge number set up with TI managers.
Review timecard entries of employees and vendors on a weekly basis to ensure proper and accurate charging.
Perform random timecard audits with employees on a weekly basis (including Andros based employees).
Responsible to partner with varying levels of functional management and program management with regular and ad-hoc reporting, metrics and analysis.
Plans and prepares complex studies to determine cost of business activities.
Ability to exercise independent judgment with ability to identify and improve processes.
Assist in the preparation of pricing budgets and budget narratives.
Participate in audits with internal and external auditors (e.g. DCAA).
Occasional travel to remote island with limited medical facilities.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Five or more years progressively responsible related financial experience.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field required.
Experience with Microsoft PowerBI.
Advanced command of Microsoft Office Suite to include Access relational databases, Excel VLookups, pivot tables, and macros.
Knowledge of VBA and SQL.
Experience with Costpoint Time, Costpoint Expense, and/or IBM MAXIMO.
Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Planning and organizing skills to balance and prioritize work.
Ability to work independently and as a team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid Driver’s License and passport will be required.
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance: US Citizenship is required.
Must be able to travel to and/or reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred.
CPA or CMA certifications preferred.
Strong background using MS Excel and PowerBI.
Experience briefing managers and teammates with financial data for decision support and mission execution purposes.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced and constantly changing environment with tight-timelines for providing deliverable business products.
Strong collaboration and organization skills for multi-person efforts.
