Job Description: Client Service Representative

We want YOU! Come join our fun, experienced, patient, kind, compassionate team. VCA Brentwood Animal Hospital is seeking a Client Service Representative to help care for clients and patients. Come grow your interpersonal skills alongside of highly experienced pet professionals!

Daily job expectations including but not limited to:

· Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms

· Must be Friendly, empathetic, good listening skills, problem solver, and kindness ambassador

· Team Player- we strive to lift others up and support one another in a professional atmosphere

· Scheduling and confirming appointments

· Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients

· Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments

· Answering questions regarding products, services, and care plans including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., basic heartworm prevention options, working knowledge of vaccines and what they do/vaccination schedules, basic transportation/safety requirements within veterinary hospital, and basic flea & tick control options available)

· Managing medical records, charts, reports, and client correspondence via email, voicemail, and text.

QUALIFICATIONS: • At least one year of proven past experience helping customers working with people • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent • Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills • Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions • Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action • The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $17 to $19 per hour.
