Execute and lead day-to-day data analysis and management operations, initiatives, and projects as required for the cash and carry business. Serve as data analyst in the functions of new item setup, internal/external data compliance, data synchronization and catalog maintenance. Manage product setup and ongoing data maintenance for new and existing stores.

Flexible Work Policy: The Data Analyst position has been segmented as Hybrid, meaning the work is a combination of onsite (3 days per week) and virtual (2 days per week). This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in West Linn, OR or Rosemont, IL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead special projects and task forces on process improvement initiatives in-office or onsite at cash and carry locations.

  • Coordinate product setup process for new store before item is added to assortment. Assist deployment team in new store openings.

  • Facilitate communication throughout set-up process among various teams (merchandising, IT, Finance, etc).

  • Lead and develop department initiatives by collaborating with Merchandising and IT teams in order to develop and maintain a best-in-class product information catalog.

  • Work with division to ensure products are available, slotted, and flagged properly. Create/update necessary PLUs, Recipes, Label required flags, etc.

  • Develop and track schedule/timeline of setup activities (systems, ordering, scan testing, etc). Leads scan testing/retesting efforts.

  • Develop, monitor and support department performance via audits, reviews, and enforcement of policies and procedures. Assist in design and deployment of training materials.

  • Prepare and maintain Responsibility Matrix and complete business impact assessments on as-needed basis.

  • Measure and support acceptable levels of division compliance with new item setup policies through auditing and execution of compliance procedures.

  • Own process design and execution through collaboration with division to establish and improve best practices, operational excellence, and division level data maintenance. Document as-is and to be process workflows.

  • Collaborate with other cross-functional stakeholders from Category Management, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Pricing, Space Management and vendors.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with all employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company and must be adept at working cross-functionally with multiple departments.

  • External: The incumbent is required to interact with customers, vendors, and other service providers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily work indoors in a climate-controlled office environment. Operate Office equipment, including computer and phone.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years in data analysis role

  • Minimum 1-3 years of foodservice, retail or other related retail store-level experience.

  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Office 365, and Teams.

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and influencing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team

  • Category management/merchandising experience preferred

  • Change management experience preferred

  • Analytical experience and detail-oriented

  • Keen ability to troubleshoot

  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications (particularly Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $55,000 and $90,000.
