Director of People - EC
SUMMARY
The Director of People is responsible for the administration and management of the People Department functions. The Director of People will ensure the management of Human Resource Department with a pro-active approach and gracious attitude; effectively mentoring, coaching and developing the People Team and participating as a pro-active business partner that is responsible for providing daily support of the Company's objectives, mission and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:
Oversee recruitment, compensation/benefits, and employee/labor relations
Coach and advise management on all HR related issues
Develop and administer policies and programs which allow associates to maximize their contribution to the resort’s operations
Participate in strategic planning and budgeting activities
Provide leadership and employee relations support to all associates
Responsible for performance management and salary review process
Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment and labor laws
Translate business priorities into property Human Resources strategies, plans and actions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required
PHR or SPHR certified preferred
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience actively serving in human resource management in a hotel/resort environment
Required proficiency, knowledge, and experience in all HR processes: selection & employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, employment law, workers’ compensation, and talent management
Must be strategic and have strong business acumen
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. This may include traveling to and from meetings. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
The pay scale range for the Director of People - EC is from $139,600.00 to $165,000.00 . The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
