What to expect as a Cook at Saint Mary Home:

In this role, you will uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Saint Mary’s Home and Trinity Senior Living Communities, fostering a warm and collaborative environment. Your key responsibilities include preparing meals according to planned menus, ensuring all food service procedures meet established policies, and maintaining high safety and sanitation standards. You will also handle administrative tasks, coordinate with other departments, and assist with meal service and special events. Building strong inter-department relationships, standardizing work methods, and ensuring timely meal preparation are essential to meeting the needs of our residents.

R equired knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of basic methods for preparing food in quantity, especially meats, fish, and vegetables.

  • Understanding of different dietary needs, including purees and therapeutic diets.

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils, and the ability to use them effectively.

  • Ability to identify and report the need for equipment repairs to the supervisor.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and organization.

  • Genuine interest in and caring attitude toward seniors.
