About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Analytics Consultant in the Conduct Reporting team of Conduct Analytics and Reporting, within Sales Practices and Conduct Management (SPCM). SPCM manages allegations of misconduct effectively when they arise, we reduce employee misconduct by sharing allegation insights with our business partners, and we demonstrate understanding and empathy for the employees that we serve.

You will be responsible for creating sophisticated data visualizations and reporting. To be successful, you will need to bring an end-to-end analytical toolkit that includes: extracting data from the Teradata warehouse with SQL; creating data visualization with Power BI and Tableau; validating and refining findings by partnering with subject matter experts that are in a matrixed organization; and creating required control documentation.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the design, development, implementation, and management of business intelligence and reporting solutions

  • Work in partnership with other senior members of the team to drive change and mentor/develop other team members that have diverse skillsets and backgrounds. Be proficient in engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Advise experienced leadership to develop or influence analytical strategies and advanced data visualization for complex business and technical needs

  • Design and lead complex projects, analyses, and application of techniques across the enterprise

  • Engage with peers, managers risk, compliance, managers across the enterprise, and serve as an expert advisor to leadership team.

  • Build and manage relationships with SPCM Allegations and Operations Management teams and program leaders

  • Execute risk-mitigating activities including code testing, peer review, consolidation of similar recurring processes and reports, and best-in-class documentation (i.e. BRDs, FSDs) that is structured for consistency and is easy to understand by multiple levels of reviewers, partners, and regulatory agents

  • Determine appropriate strategy to plan, coordinate, and execute data research projects or results oriented intelligence that support the business

  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers to provide strategic consultation

  • Ensure adherence to data management and data governance regulations, and policies and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years of direct BI (Tableau and/or Power BI) development experience

  • 3+ years of Teradata experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong data analytic experience and have strong interpersonal effectiveness with the ability to translate complex analytics in to easily understood insights and summarizing or presenting to various levels of management.

  • Experience in developing and delivering regulatory reporting

  • Ability to transform complex data and analyses into easily digestible and visually accessible dashboards and reports

  • Ability to determine what delivery method to present data/information to senior leaders

  • Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolution

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to understand risks and integration/interdependency of risks

  • Experience providing "credible challenge" to business partners, when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence in a matrix environment

  • Ability to influence without direct authority, create and manage (while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience documenting non-technical business requirements and translating into technical rules

  • Ability to partner with key stakeholders to achieve common ground and resolve obstacles to success

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience leading in a fast paced, demanding, and deadline driven environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule - 3 days in office / 2 days remote

  • Ability to work on-site at the stated location on the job opening
