Position Overview:

As the Assistant Controller, you’ll work closely with the Controller and the rest of the leadership team to support all aspects of the company’s financial operations. You’ll play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting functions, assisting with financial reporting, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while maintaining a balance that allows you to thrive both personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

*Assist the Controller in managing financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and internal controls.

*Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

*Help manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.

*Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts in alignment with company goals.

*Support tax filings and regulatory compliance activities, working closely with external auditors and tax professionals.

*Help drive process improvements in accounting and reporting procedures, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

*Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights on variances, trends, and financial performance.

*Assist with cash flow management and recommend improvements to working capital management.

*Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and optimize operational performance.

*Mentor and guide junior finance staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

*Take ownership of special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or working toward certification preferred).

3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or assistant role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and budgeting.

Experience with financial software and Excel; familiarity with accounting systems (ERP experience a plus).

Ability to analyze complex financial data and present findings to non-financial stakeholders.

High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.

Desire to learn, grow, and take on new challenges within an entrepreneurial company. Requirements • Proficient in all basic Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Capable of managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge and experience in Auditing

• Able to perform Billing Functions effectively

• Familiar with the Financial Close Process

• Skilled in Ledger Account Reconciliation

• Capable of performing Monthly Account Reconciliation
