Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller in the manufacturing industry, located in West Chicago, Illinois. The role involves an array of responsibilities, including operational and performance analytics, project management, and reporting. This position also includes a strong emphasis on variance analysis, cost accounting, and financial forecasting.
Responsibilities:
• In-depth involvement in operational and performance analytics to optimize plant operations
• Spearhead the execution of various projects, ensuring they align with the company's overall strategic goals
• Regular reporting on plant performance metrics, providing insightful analysis to aid decision-making
• Perform variance analysis, identifying discrepancies and proposing solutions for efficiency
• Manage cost accounting practices to ensure financial integrity and accuracy
• Oversee the preparation of profit and loss reports, providing detailed insights into the financial health of the plant
• Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity
• Conduct monthly financial forecasting for the plant, facilitating proactive financial planning
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management, analysis, and reporting
• Maintain accurate records of fixed asset inventory to ensure proper asset management. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proven experience in the manufacturing industry is required
• Proficiency in manufacturing cost accounting is necessary
• Familiarity with fixed asset inventory management is essential
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are needed
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is crucial
• CPAs or CMAs are preferred
• Must possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting is required
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
• Proven ability to manage a team effectively
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
