JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Manager plays an essential role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Safe Harbor, specifically focused on the comprehensive care, support, and programming provided to the residents during daytime hours. This position is responsible for implementing and supervising various programs and services that build the skills of individuals experiencing homelessness to achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Essential Functions:

• Develop, implement and oversee a range of structured daytime programs and services that promote life skills, mental health, and social reintegration
• Align daytime programs with the overall mission of the shelter through collaboration with teams, providing one-on-one support to shelter residents, including goal setting and collaborating with Case Management
• Collaborate with external service providers to connect residents with essential resources and opportunities
• Supervise and support volunteers/facilitators involved in program delivery, ensuring they are equipped to facilitate daytime activities
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of resident interactions, progress, satisfaction and service utilization
• Foster positive relationships with the surrounding community to gain support and resources for shelter programs
• Track program outcomes, maintain documentation, and report on the impact of therapeutic programs
• Ensure a trauma-informed and inclusive approach in all activities, fostering an environment of respect and dignity
• Manage the program budget, resources, and schedule to optimize service delivery
• Provide general shelter support as needed related to organization, cleaning, donations, kitchen and meal preparation etc

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience: Min. 2 years' experience in manager role in the social services field
• Ability to fulfill role during weekday and weekend evenings in support of Safe Harbor's 24/7 shelter.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit for an extended period of time
• Ability to walk up and down stairs
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Requires repetitive wrist/hand movement
• Requires continuous normal hearing (40-60 decibels or 40-60 decibels with correction), and vision (20/20 or 20/20 with correction) including when using a computer
• Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical substances or controlled substances

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour
