Excalibur Miretti Group Senior Electrical Technician in West Caldwell, New Jersey
Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of explosion protection systems, including spark detection, emission control (ie; exhaust pollution, toxic emissions reduction), and explosion isolation; Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry of electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and honed expertise of system components; Operate specialized or standard test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electronic components, assemblies, or systems; Interpret test information to resolve design-related problems; Modify electrical systems to correct functional deviations; Integrate software or hardware components, using computer, microprocessor, or control architecture; Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions; Provide user applications, engineering support, and recommendations for new and existing equipment regarding installation, upgrade(s), and enhancement(s) of all explosion proof devices; Participate in training or continuing education activities to stay abreast of engineering or industry advances; and Maintain all system logs and manuals to document the testing and operation of equipment. Minimum Requirements: Employer will accept 4 years of experience in the position offered or in a closely related position such as Electronics Technician, Engineering Technologist, Electrical Engineering Technician, or Electrical Systems Technologist in the fire & explosion protection industry.
