We are on the lookout for a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing sector, based in West Caldwell, New Jersey. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating accounts payable activities, ensuring the accuracy of invoice data, and maintaining comprehensive records. This Accounts Payable Specialist role involves working closely with various departments and team members to ensure the smooth operation of our financial activities. Responsibilities of this Accounts Payable Specialist will include but not be limited to:

• Manage the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of invoice data before posting for payment

• Handle the manual processing and data input of a significant volume of invoices across multiple divisions and bank accounts

• Engage in the reconciliation of monthly charges for multiple users

• Oversee the preparation and execution of weekly check runs

• Work with multiple divisions to review and prepare expense reports on a weekly basis

• Handle the entry and application of wires from multiple cash accounts daily to open A/P

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate customer credit records

• Respond to both internal and external inquiries and perform electronic filing of documents

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure accuracy in invoices and expense reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field preferred

• Any prior manufacturing experience is a plus

• 2+ years of accounts payable or relevant experience required

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required

• Excellent communication both written and verbal required

• Strong organizational skills
