Description

We are offering a contract to hire position for a bookkeeper, located in West Babylon, New York. This role primarily involves managing auditing, accounting, and record-keeping activities within our organization. This role also offers a hybrid schedule after training.

Responsibilities

• Process customer credit applications accurately and promptly

• Maintain an accounting system that accurately reflects the financial position of the organization

• Reconcile general ledgers and bank accounts, researching and adjusting any open items, cash imbalances, and variances

• Prepare and submit various financial, regulatory, accounting, and other reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as per management's request

• Serve as the organization's liaison with regulatory agency examiners and auditors

• Review close of business files and A/P checks clearing process daily

• Post and reconcile all loan-related activity, including fundings, payoffs, interim interest, and other applicable fees

• Regularly post and reconcile debit card, ACH, shared branching, etc. activity

• Perform various reconciliations as part of the month end close process

• Assist with special projects related to profitability and implementation of new Accounting Standards when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Account Reconciliation

• Demonstrable skills in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Profound knowledge in Bookkeeping

• Expertise in Data Entry operations

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close procedures
