The position requires working with adults with disabilities in a home setting. Additional tasks include documenting on the computer and completing household duties to keep everything running smoothly. This position provides training and support for basic life skills that promote independence. Requires assisting individuals with hygiene and providing personal care.
Starting wage is \$16.00 per hour.

The sign-on/recruitment bonus will be paid when a job offer has been made and the new hire has satisfactorily completed the initial orientation and training process. The corresponding dates will be \$250 at the 90-day date of continuous employment, \$250 at the 6-month date of continuous employment and \$500 at the 1-year anniversary date of continuous employment.

Qualifications

Skills required include:
- Strong verbal and written communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving ability, organization and time management.
- Must be able to teach someone how to cook, clean, grocery shop, participate appropriately in community activities and be safety aware.
- Must be able to read and understand the goals of persons served and assist the individual to achieve those goals.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or 1/4 of own body weight, whichever is less.
- Requires a high school diploma/GED, valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
- Prior experience working with individuals is preferred.
- Preference will be given to applicants that have a stable work history.
