Role: GP Operations Supervisor
Amazon is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our AGL (Advanced Grocery Logistics) network. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers – our Grocery Partner (GP) Business expands this selection to local stores who offer their selection on our Prime Now platform. Our Operations Supervisors direct the pulse of our operations on the ground and have an important role in getting our customers’ orders out to them in every step of the chain. As a key link between GP local operations and Regional Area Managers, you will help to drive innovation, test new ideas and ensure that best practices are upheld. You will travel regularly to visit the GP stores across your region in order to identify root causes of deviations between results, targets and implement new processes. Within your region, you will make sure that all the stores are in the condition to run the operations smoothly, you will use Amazon tools to send the weekly labor plans, monitor the non-inventory levels and re-order equipment when required. Due to the fast-paced environment, it is expected that you will be able to operate in a highly ambiguous environment, working independently while communicating and interacting with your direct manager on a daily basis.
Tasks and Responsibilities
· To support local ops to improve merchant related metrics with the most important being Quality and delivery in store ops.
· Take ownership of identifying and reporting of GP on site store related issues, escalating issues to the Area Manager.
· Monitor merchant escalations and support dive deep where applicable finally resolving via Area Manager on long term issues.
· Visit daily/weekly GP stores in your region as required, audits process compliance, executes changes on the floor and identify operational issues that are reflected in the metrics
· Update and modify existing SOPs for new processes GP program improvements / developments with merchant.
· Complete labor planning tool execution for the EU.
· Escalate any Merchant on the floor issues and link with the local Area Manager for tactical day to day executions.
· Support the roll out and implementation of new initiatives and process roll outs
· Lead and support new store launches
· Support the launches of new GP stores
Basic Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in German and English, in both written and verbal communication
Relevant experience working with data analytics and using these metrics to identify problems
Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
