Position Overview: Responsible for the safe, economic operation of company vehicles, and the safe and timely transportation of passengers. Responsible for assuring all passengers and cargo meet NYS and agency mandated safety regulations – and for reporting to supervision any actual or potential violations. Assists agency staff and others with the safe loading and unloading of passengers as required.
Responsibilities:
Provide on-going and continuous supervision of participants.
Direct and physically assist participants as necessary as prescribed in the program plan.
Physically participate in all aspects of daily and routine housekeeping tasks, property and van maintenance in an acceptable fashion.
Complete paperwork as assigned.
Maintain familiarity and adherence to participants’ program plans.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age.
Valid NYS Driver’s License with one year of driving experience with an acceptable driving record.
Must possess a CDL with P endorsement.
Ability to lift 50 lbs dead weight above shoulder level.
Must meet all NYS 19-A requirements.
