Overview:
Provides ongoing monitoring, support and direction to operational programs via internal audit process. Evaluates and assesses agency programs to ensure quality of care and adherence to regulatory requirement and agency policy and procedures. Monitors quality services for individuals by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
· Conducts internal audits for assigned programs and support departments per established schedule utilizing established audit tools and protocols.
· Conducts internal control audits, compliance audits and special reviews/audits as assigned.
· Serves as a resource for information and regulatory guidance.
· Remains current of regulatory changes impacting CDSM programs.
· Represents Quality Improvement on agency committees and work groups, as assigned.
· Provides training and guidance to programs and departments as assigned.
· Updates audit tools as necessary to ensure compliance and quality care.
· Assists with oversight activities for the implementation of fire evacuation plans.
· Provides reports and recommendations to Director of Compliance and Quality Improvement, Quality Improvement Manager and Operations regarding audit trends and systemic issues.
· Utilizes the agency’s electronic health records for data collection.
· Maintains and updates electronic audit records.
· Assists with Quality Management Plan and Compliance Workplan activities.
· Performs observation analysis.
· Performs other duties/tasks relevant to the position as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Academic and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, preferred.
· Two years’ experience related to quality improvement/quality assurance activities. OPWDD experience, desired.
· Knowledge of OPWDD and OFPC regulations, desired.
· Excellent reading, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel) and EHR.
· Ability to work independently and motivate others.
· Reliable transportation (NYS Drivers’ Licensed required).
· Maintain all required certifications/training by State regulations and CDS Monarch policy.
All experience and education requirements, except when required by federal, state, or local laws or requirements, may be waived at the discretion of management with the approval of the Program Vice President in collaboration with Human Resources.

Attend mandatory Education and Training modules as scheduled, obtains, and maintains required certifications.

Perform all other duties relevant to the position as assigned by supervisor.
