System One Quality Control Laboratory Trainer in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania

Title: Quality Control Laboratory Trainer

Location: Waynesboro, PA

Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Start: Immediate

Overview:

Small Analytical Testing Facility is seeking an experienced Quality Control Lab Trainer to revise and manage their training program for new and existing employees!

Responsibilities:

  • Review and update of all routine bench assays and roles.

  • Establishment of a training program for general bench work for all routine assays.

  • Concurrent establishment of a quality control program for by run, by day, and over time control of assays for ownership by technicians.

  • Significant responsibility for initial training of new bench employees.

  • Assist the Floor Manager in establishing hiring needs and in interviewing candidates.

  • Communicate needs and observations of floor operations to management and tech staff.

  • Engage in troubleshooting of analytical operations when results are out of control.

  • Assist in corrective actions and retraining, as necessary.

  • Assist Floor Manager in assuring cross-training goals are established and executed.

  • Assist in the development and execution of a monetary quality incentive program.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in science, biology, or environmental sciences.

  • At least 4 years of training experience

  • Highly motivated individual able and willing to see needs, define projects, set goals, and execute with a minimum of oversight.

  • Strong ability and drive to communicate both on an individual and on a team basis to effect goals.

  • Creative orientation to be able to view a larger picture in context in formulation of goals.

  • Ability to write effective SOP that are functional, detailed for control but practical for technician engagement.
