Reporting directly to the Vice President, Controller, the Senior Manager, Assistant Controller position is responsible for supporting the Controller in the direction, supervision and development of the Accounting team; ensuring global compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and company policies and procedures; and producing the companys SEC Reporting documents. The Senior Manager, Assistant Controller drives best practice through research, standardization, and awareness among business constituents, and works on project teams that are responsible for complex business transactions.

The selected candidate will be responsible for a broad spectrum of activities, including leading the closing of the corporate books and acting as our project manager on our quarterly and annual external audits, monitoring and assessing on-going internal processes and internal controls to drive efficiency, automation and accuracy of financial reporting and financial systems. The candidate will also be responsible for implementation of accounting initiatives, enhancing existing financial data analytics, and participating in special projects.

Responsibilities * Self-motivated, career-oriented perspective with ability to actively participate as part of a high-performing team. * Ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels while articulating complex concepts. * Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements. * Lead in the month end closing and financial reporting process of corporate books, including account analysis and reconciliation. * Manage and lead cross-functional projects & mentor associates. * Significant expertise in US GAAP * Analyze complex cost management processes and identify business risks and opportunities. * Ability to effectively develop, document, and deploy policies and procedures across the organization. * Manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. * Support the integration of acquired companies into accounting and reporting systems and processes. . * Lead technical accounting research and provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP * Proactively analyze emerging accounting pronouncements for implications to the consolidated Triumph Group * Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards applicable to the organization * Jointly responsible for updating and creating accounting policies and procedures required by either technical accounting, business or internal control changes. * Jointly responsible for reviewing business contracts for accounting implications and determination of appropriate accounting under the contracts * Participate in and lead projects from an accounting perspective that arise as a result of business requirements, such as implementation of new software or process improvements. * Assist with the coordination of internal and external audits as well as the preparation of statutory financial statements Qualifications * Bachelor of Science B.S. degree in Accounting. * 8+ years of experience in public/private accounting required * Prior SEC & SOX experience required * Licensed Certified Public Accountant CPA preferred * Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong computer skills. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Advanced written and presentation skills. * Critical thinking skills * Project Management and leadership experience required.
