Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. This role is crucial to ensuring financial procedures are upheld through the creation of company reports and statements. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of tasks such as general ledger account and bank statement reconciliation, preparation of financial statements, and assisting in the preparation of various confidential correspondence.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, preparing them when necessary
• Maintain and update various spreadsheets and financial reports
• Assist with the transition to new accounting software when required
• Collaborate with the Controller, HR, and other staff to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Carry out duties related to payroll, such as tracking benefits, updating rates, and processing PTO
• Confirm and maintain financial compliance through the preparation of company reports and statements
• Participate in the reconciliation of bank statements and credit card payments, coding to appropriate accounts
• Review work performed by other staff members, particularly in relation to accounts payable, invoicing, and other duties
• Perform general ledger account reconciliation
• Contribute positively to the team by supporting and executing projects as needed
Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experienced in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Capable of maintaining the General Ledger and making Journal Entries.
• Skilled in handling Month End Close procedures.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP is essential.
• Familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll processes.
• Possess the ability to manage Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees.
• Proficiency in payroll systems like UKG Pro and ADP - Payroll is a must.
