Robert Half is seeing a Junior Systems Administrator to join our client's team in Wauwatosa, WI (some travel to Madison expected). As a Junior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for dealing with a variety of system and network administration tasks, including but not limited to patching for Windows and Linux, handling security incidents, and managing wireless access points. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those ready for the next step in their career, as it includes mentoring under senior administrators and potential for growth.

This is a Direct Hire role that requires an onsite work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Handle system administration tasks for both Linux and Windows environments.

• Manage and monitor wireless access points.

• Respond to and manage security incidents, including virus quarantine and phishing.

• Act as a backup to senior administrators, providing support and assistance as needed.

• Provide end-user support, including setting up new hardware and onboarding.

• Assist with technical needs during meetings, ensuring guests are connected and systems are functioning properly.

• Continually learn and adapt to new technologies and systems, demonstrating self-motivation and a keen ability to quickly acquire new skills.

• Collaborate with team members on wider systems and network admin tasks.

• Provide support across multiple locations as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an IT Support role and ready for the next step in your career.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.

• Proficiency in MS Office 365.

• Experience with Wireless Access Points and Meraki.

• Demonstrated ability in Patching.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

• Demonstrated commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in system administration.

• Relevant certification or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field would be advantageous.
