Position: HVAC Engineer

Location: Wauwatosa, WI

Duration:3+ months on W2

Pay Rate: $26/hr on W2

We are looking for a HVAC Engineer to join one of our Fortune 500 Real Estate clients.

Position Summary: The Certified Refrigerant Technician is responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems. This role ensures that all HVAC and plumbing systems operate efficiently within prescribed environmental conditions, adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines. The technician will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency services as needed while maintaining accurate records and providing technical guidance to coworkers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment in assigned facilities.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other related systems.

• Conduct performance testing and scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Maintain compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company safety policies.

• Inspect HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities.

• Complete maintenance and repair records; review historical data to develop proactive maintenance schedules.

• Respond promptly to emergency situations and escalate as necessary.

• Safely operate a company vehicle to service locations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Certified Refrigerant Technician.

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program is preferred.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Certification in at least two of the following areas: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Refrigeration Systems, Process Controls, Mechanical Power Transmissions, Painting, Plumbing, Carpentry, or Engine Repair.

• CFC Certification required.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Basic financial knowledge, with the ability to calculate percentages, discounts, and commissions, and perform basic financial analysis.

• Proficiency in using a personal computer and/or PDA, including Microsoft Office Outlook.
