CITY OF WAUSAU Community Care Paramedic in WAUSAU, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Community Care Paramedic (CCP) at Wausau Fire Department plays a vital role in addressing the unique healthcare needs of the community through proactive and patient-centered care. The CCP collaborates with primary care services, community partners, and community outreach coordinator to reduce hospital readmissions, unnecessary transports, and redirects unnecessary emergency department visits to enhance community well-being. In addition to the performance of routine tasks in the areas of community care and emergency medical services (EMS) programs, the position is distinguished by tasks that include routine fire inspections as needed in the community and participating in firefighting duties as assigned.
