Purchasing/Supply Chain (Internship-Summer 2025)

ROLE:

This role assists with a variety of programs and activities covering multiple purchasing and supply chain activities. With direct supervision by Purchasing Department Management or Senior Purchasing professionals this position will assist with various aspects of the Supply Chain capacity analysis, inventory and lead-time tracking. Additional activities would include supplier RFQ tracking and follow up.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Assist with supplier RFQ follow up for 5-day quote turnaround

  • Assist with development of tracking tools for supplier delivery, capacity and lead time

  • Assist with forecast demand and supplier capacity analysis

  • Assists with processing and distributing monthly production schedules for the supply chain

  • Performs various clerical and statistical assignments related to purchasing and supply chain functions

  • Strong organizational, analytic, and communication skills.

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast paced team environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pursuing a Bachelors/Associates degree in Manufacturing, Office Management, Business Analyst or equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Motivation and great attitude.

  • A high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.

  • Customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules and manage workload independently.

  • Must have basic Excel reporting knowledge.

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.

  • Must work well with others and be outgoing.

  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work on their own.

  • Must be willing to learn SAP and AS-400 systems.

  • Be enrolled in post-high school education for the Fall 2025 semester.

  • Minimum of 1 completed year in related field (preferred).

  • Be considered a full time student (12 credits or more).

  • Be 18 years or older.
