Generac Power Systems Senior Director IT Strategy and Results in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Key Focus:

  • Manages program and organizational performance for Generac Information Technology organization.

  • Oversees financial and project and operations execution performance for multi-million Technology projects, Service Management for the Generac application portfolio and platforms, and managed service provider contracts.

  • Supports cost center management, leadership team goals and performance, defining and monitoring project management methodologies and assists the IT organization in establishing and maintaining effective functional and project governance.

  • Manages IT business metrics, and IT Training, and Leadership Development. Additionally, ensure the appropriate metrics, strategic planning and process management methodologies are applied to drive success.

  • Lead the IT transformation to Digital operating model.

  • Lead the processes that align business strategy to IT strategy and the effectively communicate the vision to the broader Generac team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project / program portfolio management including funding oversight for investment lifecycle management execution and financial performance, portfolio prioritization and communications to executive management.

  • Service Management Governance for the technology application and services portfolio.

  • Asset management including tracking total cost of ownership.

  • Facilitate and track leadership team goals, technology roadmaps, and performance metrics.

  • Oversee cost center budget in partnership with financial planning and accounting staff.

  • Manage and develop staff members assigned to assist the Project and Portfolio Team

  • Define standards for project development and execution, including software development lifecycle, in collaboration with IT development and operations teams

  • Manage relationships with external partners and consultants to enable effective and efficient operations.

  • Build and manage an IT strategic road map that identifies and maps IT program objectives to the IT Transformation strategy and vision.

  • Lead IT cross-functional analytical and strategy development efforts that ensures employees and stakeholders across understand the case for and the plans for change.

  • Drive maturity into our metrics and controls that includes a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) framework for management of the IT transformation strategy.

  • Drive process improvement within the IT organization including, the adoption of Lean, Six Sigma, CMMI, SDLC, ITIL and other key measures & tools, as appropriate, to significantly improve project delivery, change management and operations metrics for reliability and service levels.

  • Advise on options, risks, cost/benefit analysis, and impact on other business programs.

  • Lead the development of lean six sigma-based workforce thinking and discipline throughout IT in alignment with similar programs that may exist within the Generac business.

  • Assist in driving process improvement measures across enterprise IT to deliver better quality products for our business partners.

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
