The SAP Process Lead is focused on providing solution designs to meet business-related requirements in compliance with Generac’s Global SAP Design Model. The IT Process Lead collaborates with Global and Regional teams to understand current business processes and business requirements to ensure technology investments support and enhance strategic objectives.
The SAP Process Lead will be responsible to develop overall design and execution of key Generac business processes, utilizing SAP technology, while ensuring regulatory compliance. Will actively lead and/or participate in the pre-planning, blueprinting, realization, final preparation & go-live support phases of IT strategic roadmap projects. As a solution designer, consult with users to interpret and understand issues, use SAP configuration expertise for proof of concept to demonstrate a recommended solution to stakeholder. This position will be a mentor to other members for the SAP COE team.
Major Responsibilities
Work with IT Leadership to assess and establish enterprise priorities for key initiatives and investments. Provide strategic consultancy support to assigned customers in defining business processes and solutions. Provide support to Global Business Process Owners and/or Business Analysts in the development of Business Cases (scope, functionality, cost).
Participate in the development and documentation of business processes based on business requirements and functional designs for major initiatives ensuring an end-to-end process solution. Provide leadership to ensure system implementation meets defined business requirements and aligns with to-be business processes. Maintains awareness of SAP process strengths, supported best practices and development release schedule to assist in defining future direction
Monitor project throughout project phases/stage gates to ensure design solution enables business requirements, escalate to PMO as needed. Ensure detailed project designs maintain architectural design standards/principles related to reusable services, common technology, and strategic technical capabilities. Approval of functional and technical specification documents
Lead and nurture the SAP Global Design Model. Lead and nurture continuous process improvements according to business strategies. Resource Forecasting for system support and projects. Lead and/or provide support in SAP technical system configuration. Facilitate discussions, gain consensus by providing/explaining solutions corresponding to business requirements.
Other duties as assigned and the following: the Trusted Advisor of business solution designs using SAP technology.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Work Experience
Experience implementing at least 2 large-scale or complex IT projects
8 years of ERP value stream experience
3 years of SAP ECC experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Exceptional written and verbal skills
Strong process and process improvement orientation
Proficient in SAP ECC configuration
Strong knowledge of Output Conditions and master data to drive business process, MS/Office Products, Third Party Sourcing and Management, Project management
Preferred Job Requirements
Education
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Process Management
Work Experience
Experience being the hands-on functional lead role for new SAP implementation
Experience in SAP ECC (LE) – PTP-PPS, (WM) – PTP-WM & (MM) – PTP-MM
