Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Responsible for New Process Design / Advanced Technology Process Development, Scintillator X-Ray Test System Design & Build, development of Vision Based Measurement Systems, and writing python scripts or similar, PLC/HMI Controls and Collaborative Robots. Engineering associated with the manufacturing process with multi-disciplinary team that is creating the future of the world’s fastest ceramic scintillators for CT Detectors. Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop application of new product, tools, or equipment. Understand key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish own work. Understand how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Ceramics Engineering or Material Science Engineering, and 2 years of experience in a related occupation required. The position also requires: 2 years of practical experience with structured Problems Solving Techniques, such as Six Sigma, in a manufacturing setting. 2 years experience in manufacturing or design engineering. 2 years experience writing/troubleshooting python scripts or similar, PLC/HMI Controls code and collaborative robots in a manufacturing environment. 1 year experience developing/troubleshooting vision based measurement systems and Scintillator X-ray test systems. 2 years experience operating in a regulated manufacturing environment.
