What you will do: Train with an experienced Regional HR Manager to hone your collective bargaining skills, including taking classes, and workshops, having paid access to the LinkedIn Learning library of classes, and tuition reimbursement. Prepare to sit as the first chair and be the Chief Negotiator during collective bargaining. Serve as a subject matter expert for Silgan union and non-union plant management teams. Assist Silgan plants in employee relations, training and development, health and safety programs, company policy implementation, and coordination of the annual Wage and Benefits review at non-union plants. Promote and maintain optimum employee-management relations. What you will need: Bachelor\'s degree in human resources or a related field; a master\'s degree in business preferred. 5+ years of experiencein Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Labor Relations, in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of local labor regulations and collective bargaining. Experience working in a union shop that processes grievances, contract administration, and collective bargaining. Experience with organizational development and benefits administration. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel. Solid verbal and written communication skills and robust critical thinking skills.
