Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

First-line supervisor of a semi-skilled labor workforce. This role typically requires specialized training in supervision and 5+ years of job-related experience, including experience in a manufacturing setting. Under management guidance, this role schedules work, assists with employee selection/compensation, reviews employee and department performance, and administers work rules.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes/monitors workflow.

  • Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and discipling employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Recruits, selects, onboards, trains, and mentors’ employees.

  • Maintains workflow by evaluating processes, assessing changes, implementing new methodologies while initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation between departments.

  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results.

  • Maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing production standards.

  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment/techniques.

  • Compiles, initiates, sorts, and analyzes productions performance records and data.

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, resources, and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.

    Minimum Requirements Skills

  • 5+ years of experience

  • GED/High School Diploma

  • Prior supervisory experience

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Epicor Systems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Bi-lingual will be viewed as a plus

  • Additional education/certification(s) will be viewed as a plus
