Job Summary:
First-line supervisor of a semi-skilled labor workforce. This role typically requires specialized training in supervision and 5+ years of job-related experience, including experience in a manufacturing setting. Under management guidance, this role schedules work, assists with employee selection/compensation, reviews employee and department performance, and administers work rules.
Responsibilities:
Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes/monitors workflow.
Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and discipling employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Recruits, selects, onboards, trains, and mentors’ employees.
Maintains workflow by evaluating processes, assessing changes, implementing new methodologies while initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation between departments.
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results.
Maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing production standards.
Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment/techniques.
Compiles, initiates, sorts, and analyzes productions performance records and data.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, resources, and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
Minimum Requirements Skills
5+ years of experience
GED/High School Diploma
Prior supervisory experience
Microsoft Office Suite
Epicor Systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bi-lingual will be viewed as a plus
Additional education/certification(s) will be viewed as a plus
