The Opportunity

The IT Strategic Supplier Management Office (SMO) drives integration between IT Leadership, IT Operations, IT Finance, Procurement, and contracted Service Providers while ensuring receipt of services in accordance with outsourcing agreements. The SMO optimizes contract, performance, financial, and relationship management processes, building a foundation to resolve issues, monitor contract compliance, drive continuous improvement, and guide the relationship with the providers.

This is a high visibility role with tremendous opportunity to make an impact. This position will work closely with key business partners across the IT organization and partner with IT Finance to drive thoughtful analysis and reporting. It requires excellent people skills and a strong understanding of financial principles and accounting rules.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance data and forecast models and analyses to support strategic IT initiatives and cost allocation models.

  • Plan and forecast strategic IT contract spend.

  • Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data-intensive analyses to drive meaningful change.

  • Provide standard budgetary and rebate support, including up-to-date spend and balance metrics.

  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity for process improvement efficiencies.

  • Support the preparation of materials for leadership discussions to evaluate initiatives.

  • Develop trust-based relationships with our finance business partners to positively influence the direction of the firm.

  • Contribute to other aspects of Strategic IT Business cases, as directed by team leadership.

  • Assist in planning and forecasting exercises of strategic IT contract spend.

  • Manage the quarterly and ad-hoc purchasing cycles of Salesforce software products:

  • Collect, validate the accuracy, and consolidate demand for licenses from all divisions.

  • Analyze the demand, identify the drivers and financial impacts, and provide a summary statement to management.

  • Request Order Forms from the vendor and check their accuracy.

  • Compute chargeback/recovery amounts and work with finance to ensure timely processing of charges to divisions.

  • Reconcile actuals against the forecast and update financial outlook if necessary.

  • Work with Finance, Accounts Payable, and Supplier Collection teams to resolve invoicing issues.

  • Build and enhance data and data models and provide variance analyses in support of strategic IT initiatives and processes.

  • Assist in the analysis of business cases, including building models/proposals based on business requirements, outlining assumptions, and developing data/financial models.

  • Support the preparation of materials for leadership discussions to evaluate initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant finance and/or data-modeling experience in a medium/large company environment.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Experience building and maintaining complex data and/or financial models.

  • Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

  • Track record of working with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment with competing deadlines.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy.

  • Proven track record in taking high-level direction and developing executable analysis with tangible results.

  • A positive, can-do attitude and collaborative mindset.

  • Highly dependable, with the ability to drive things to conclusion across teams.

  • Proactive, resourceful, and intellectually curious.

Educational Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in business, finance, data analytics, or a related field with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 – $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
