Responsibilities Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities. Serves as Apprentice Training Program Manager, responsible for supervising and training skilled labor/craft Apprentices throughout their comprehensive 4 year training program. Coordinates all tours through Operations Directorate floor space. Serves as the principle Document Control Officer for the directorate. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Performing liaison functions such as: effectively presenting an organization's needs, representing an organization on committees, working groups, teams, conference panels, and other meetings and building relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; (2) Proficiency with machining processes, equipment, and tools to explain machining operation requirements, methods, and procedures; and (3) Working knowledge of personnel programs such as: equal employment opportunity, time and attendance, leave, awards, incentives, and controlled documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
