HIRING CNC OPERATORS ASAP IN THE IXONIA AREA
Job Description
Since 1946, our company has been a full-service production CNC machine shop, crafting various metal parts for a diverse customer base that includes agriculture, construction, off-road highway trucking, forestry, mining, and other industries around the world. We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our team and work on a variety of mills and lathes, primarily Mazaks.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC lathes and/or machining centers to produce a variety of small to large parts with minimal scrap, achieving posted rates, and recording minimum indirect labor hours.
Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
Plan the proper sequence of tasks to complete assignments.
Inspect parts using different gauges, routing requirements, customer drawing requirements, quality plan dimensions, and SPC chart tracking to ensure quality assurance.
Document completed labor and quality checks while reporting errors and defects as required.
Identify the need for machine/tool maintenance and perform minor repairs.
Learn machine set-up using provided documentation to gather and organize equipment needed for setups in minimal time.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Essential Skills
Experience with CNC lathes and mills.
Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong measuring skills and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Mazak and Doosan machines.
Knowledge of machining and set-ups.
Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on machines.
Capability to lift up to 40 lbs on occasion.
