Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Watertown, New York

Description We are seeking a diligent Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Wood & Furniture Manufacturing industry. Located in Watertown, New York, this role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity where you will play a crucial role in handling customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving their inquiries. Your role will also involve monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Keeping customer credit records up to date and precise

• Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions

• Matching invoices with the corresponding purchase orders

• Utilizing Great Plains for efficient operations

• Verifying receipts for procured materials

• Handling high-volume invoicing tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in utilizing Great Plains (GPAC) software for accounting and financial management tasks

• Experience in handling high-volume invoicing in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to manage and track purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate payments

• Familiarity with the wood and furniture manufacturing industry is preferred

• Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage financial records, including accounts payable

• Strong numerical and analytical skills to handle large volumes of financial data

• Excellent organizational abilities to ensure all invoices and payments are handled in a timely manner

• Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and resolve any discrepancies in invoices or payments

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in all tasks and duties

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial tracking and reporting

• A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with further education in finance or a related field being a plus.
