General Labourer - Plant Services

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Labourer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating floor scrubber machines, managing waste disposal, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the production area. You will also handle lubricants, organize gloves and rags, track and order supplies, and adhere to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate the floor scrubber machine.

• Bring garbage and recycling to the appropriate bins for pick up.

• Organize and clean the production area.

• Suck lubricants from pans at machine operator request.

• Organize dirty gloves and rags.

• Track, organize, and order supplies as needed.

• Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

• Follow all rules and regulations.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Operator or General Labourer.

• Experience in the automotive or metal industry.

Work Environment

The work environment involves automotive manufacturing, specifically the production of stainless steel tubing for bus frames, exhaust pipes, air bags, and other tubing. The role is within a team setting, typically consisting of 3-5 members. The night shift hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM , Sunday to Thursday, with a base pay rate of $19 per hour plus a $1 premium for night shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WATERLOO, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00
