Overview
The Vermont Department of Health is seeking a dynamic professional with a commitment to public health to join our team as Policy Director.
This position will manage a wide range of complex policy initiatives in the area of Public Health and integration of Public Health with healthcare. The role involves extensive interactions with Department and Agency leadership; Department directors and staff; members of the legislature; stakeholder groups; and local and state partners. Duties are performed with significant independence under the general direction of the Commissioner. Key responsibilities include policy and planning leadership, legislative strategy, and coordination of the rule making process.
Environmental Factors
Duties are performed in an office setting. Some travel may be necessary, for which private means of transportation should be available. Some evening or weekend work may be required.
