Description:
Position Purpose
Provide a variety of sterilization processing functions, manual & automated decontamination procedures. Provide sterile instruments & clean equipment to the Operating Room, Gastroenterology, WIC, Emergency Dept. & other departments as needed.
What you will do
- The ideal candidate will be able to Decontaminate, process, and reassemble instruments for sterilization and safely operate all steam, Sterrad and EtO sterilizers and effectively utilize cart washer and washer-decontaminators.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : High School diploma or equivalent, Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Certification : Certification-Central Sterile Processing Technician or graduate of a program that qualifies the candidate to sit and pass the exam within six months from date of hire.
